Cody Rhodes duked it out against Seth Rollins in the main event of Hell In A Cell. The American Nightmare knew just how important the match was and wasn’t going to skip out on it no matter what. Rhodes also revealed nasty photos of his pectoral tear and the bruising associated with it.
WWE was “surprised” that news of The American Nightmare’s injury got out as well. Despite suffering from a legit torn pectoral muscle, Rhodes competed in the match anyway and put on a classic.
WWE allowed Cody to wrestle despite his injury, believing he could not do more damage to the torn muscle. Rhodes also took to his Instagram stories and uploaded several nasty photos of the gradual bruising he suffered due to his torn pectoral muscle.
Thanks to this injury, Rhodes is expected to miss half a year of in-ring action. WWE was also advised to document his recovery journey. It remains to be seen whether WWE will have big plans for Cody Rhodes once he’s back.
