AEW Dynamite Results for June 8, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show and the first man out tonight is Darby Allin for the Casino Battle Royale! Tony Nese, Daniel Garcia and Lance Archer are already in the ring. Eddie Kingston makes his entrance next.

Casino Battle Royale

Kingston goes right after Garcia, they trade blows. Darby goes out of the ring and gets his skateboard as a weapon. Nese tries to bargain with Archer but Archer hits a Chokeslam. Darby hits Archer with his skateboard to little effect, Archer falls out of the ring and Darby hits a suicide dive. Darby faces off with Kingston. Strikes back and forth, Kingston gets the upperhand, flooring Darby.

The next entrant is… Ricky Starks! Darby hits him with the Code Red. Jake Hager is out next and attacking Kingston. Rey Fenix is out next, then Swerve Strickland, then Keith Lee! Darby with a Powerbomb to Garcia. Fenix tries to eliminate Garcia. Lee and Swerve double team Nese, elbows in the corner, then a uppercut to the back. Swerve tries to eliminate Nese but he hands on. Both men brawl on the apron, Sterling grabs Swerve by the feet, Nese hits a superkick then a running boot to Swerve.

Lee with a clothesline to Nese, then throws him out. Archer faces down Lee. Archer almost eliminates Lee but he hands on. Lee picks up Archer in a Powerbomb and goes over the top, eliminating Archer. Lee with stomps to Fenix.

The next entrants are… Jon Silver, Takeshita, Max Caster, and Gunn Club. Caster raps, accompanied by the Ass Boys.

The next entrants are… Powerhouse Hobbs, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, Dante Martin and Wheeler Yuta! Darby hits a coffin Drop to the outside on reDRagon. Dante and Fenix trade flips, Kingston and Takeshita brawl in the corner. Caster and Gunn Club scissor each other in the centre of the ring. Fenix with a trust kick on Caster, the a missile dropkick eliminating Caster.

Lee with chops to the Ass Boys, Fenix with a double cutter then Lee eliminates both of them. As Lee celebrates Swerve eliminates his tag partner. Lee looks pissed.

The Joker is… Andrade El Idolo!

Andrade goes right after Darby. Kinston and Garcia trade blows on the apron, Hobbs eliminates Silver. Hager eliminates Kingston and Garcia, Yuta eliminates Hager. Hager stomps on Kingston on the outside. Takeshita with a Blue Thunder Bomb, then trade blows with Hobbs. Hobbs throws Takeshita over the ropes and Hobbs and Starks throw him out.

Martin and Starks trade blows, Starks low bridges the ropes, eliminating Martin. Stark dodges a roundhouse kick from Fenix, Fenix throws him over, Fenix hits a springboard dropkick and eliminates Starks. Andrade and reDRagon work together to attacking Darby. Andrade catches a Coffin Splash, but Darby and Swerve work together hitting running elbows in the corner.

Swerve with a Backbreaker to O’Reilly. Darby eliminates Fish, Darby with splashes in the corner to O’Reilly, Swerve throws Darby over the rope! Andrade eliminates Swerve. Fenix with a tornado DDT to Andrade, then a stomp. Andrade with a chop, Fenix with a Superkick. Hobbs takes out Fenix. Hobbs with a Spinebuster. Hobbs picks up Fenix and tries to throw him out, Yuta throws out Hobbs!

Final 4: Andrade, O’Reilly, Fenix and Yuta.

O’Reilly with a thrust kick to Yuta. Andrade and O’Reilly work together. Yuta with a missile dropkick to Andrade, atomic drop to O’Reilly, O’Reilly with a thrust kick, German and a rebound lariat. Andrade catches Fenix with a boot, Fenix hits a roundhouse kick. Andrade with a huge low blow then throws out Fenix. O’Reilly and Andrade with kicks to Yuta. Andrade with chops, but Yuta throws him out! O’Reilly hangs on, dragging Yuta to the apron, they trade kicks, O’Reilly falls back into the ring.

O’Reilly with a Dragonscrew in the ropes, O’Reilly with a running boot eliminates Yuta!

WINNER: Kyle O’Reilly!

Jon Moxley is backstage, he says for 3 years he has been big game hunting in New Japan. Its funny how thing work out, its been a strange years. He said he would grab pro wrestling by the balls. “O’Reilly you are in with the wrong guy, this opportunity belongs to me. the forbidden door belongs to me. This entire sport belongs to me. Love you, mom. “

Commercial Break.

Commentary give a recap on CM Punk, his surgery has gone very well. They then announce a brand new Championship! A video package announces an All-Atlantic Championship! There will be a tournament to determine the first All Atlantic Champion, the first match of which is happening right now.

The House of Black make their entrance as Buddy Matthews makes his way to the ring. House of Black leave Buddy to go this alone. Pac makes his entrance next.

Buddy Matthews vs. Pac

Lock up, Buddy wrings the arm, Pac reverses, Buddy reverses, Buddy with a headlock takeover, Pac with a leg scissor, Buddy escapes, both men evenly matched. Buddy with a headlock, shoulder tackle, Pac kips up. Pac with a headlock, shoulder tackle, hurricanrana sends Buddy out of the ring. Pac feigns a suicide dive, Buddy chases.

Pac with a high knee, into a Tornado DDT! Pac with forearms, Buddy fights back, Pac gets the upperhand, Buddy with a flurry of strikes, Pac with a Roundhouse, Buddy with an uppercut. Pac ducks under a kick and gets a cover, 2 count. Pac hits a Superkick. German, lariat, both men down. Buddy with a boot, Pac with a thrust kick, Buddy throws Pac to the mat then rolls through a sun set flip into a Liger Bomb, cover, 2 count.

Pac hits a Poisonrana, getting a standing ovation. Pac with a pump kick, he climbs to the top and hits the Black Arrow! Pac covers, 1, 2, 3!

The Lucha Bros come out to celebrate with Pac. House of Black face Buddy on the stage. Death Triangle and House of Black stare each other down.

Eddie Kingston is backstage. Hager cost him the World Championship. He hates Garcia and 2.0 He will get Jericho. He wants Hager on Rampage.

Commercial Break.

Trent Barretta is in the ring. He says he bummed out, this is national best friends day and his best friend aren’t here. He and Romero had a match for the ROH tag titles and they deserve another shot. He calls out FTR. FTR make their entrance. Cash says Trent is right, and that doesn’t sit well with them. Dax says if it was up to them they would give Kansas a treat but Romero isn’t here tonight. DAx calls Untied Empire Will Osprey’s bitch boys.

Untied Empire’s music hits and out walks… Will Osprey!! United Empire and Aussie Open appear from out of nowhere to attack FTR and Trent. Aussie Open hit the Cardiolis. Osprey hits the Hidden Blade on Trent. Untied Empire stand tall.

Tony Schiavone is with Undisputed Elite and William Regal. Regal ask if O’Reilly is ready for Moxley. Regal says it will hurt him to call the match tonight as he watches O’Reilly get his head cracked open. O’Reilly says he has gotten wins over everybody and tonight he gets a chance at the world title.

Adam Cole makes his entrance and joins commentary. David Finlay makes his entrance next to little reaction. Out next is Hangman Page.

Hangman Page vs. David Finlay

Both men go face to face, lock up, break in the corner. Lock up, Page gets a headlock, shoulder tackle, Finlay with a dropkick, cover, 1 count. Lock up, Finlay gets an armbar, front facelock, shoulder tackle, Page hits a Bodyslam. Page with a high boot, chops, then throws Finlay to the outside, knocking him off the apron. Page hits a suicide dive. Back in the ring, Finlay takes out the leg, chock block.

Finlay with stomps, Page kicks him off, Page catches a crossbody and hits a fall away slam. Page with clotheslines in the corner, chops, springboard forearm on the apron. Page hits a dive to the outside. Page hits a sit out Powerbomb, cover, 2 count. Finlay escapes a Deadeye and hits a Backbreaker, cover, 2 count. Finlay with a running uppercut in the corner.

Page catches another crossbody, Finlay counters into an inside cradle, 2 count. Finlay with uppercuts, Page flips out of a German and hits a lariat. Page goes to the apron and hits the Buckshot! Page covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Hangman Page!

Page gets a mic, he says tonight he wasn’t in the Battle Royale and he wont get a title shot anytime soon. He says there isn’t only 1 world title in pro wrestling. At Forbidden Door, he wants the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship! He wants Okada!

Adam Cole comes off commentary and says Okada may not even be the champion at Forbidden Door it might be Jay White. Page is not a champion anymore. Cole says he has been on a roll, if anybody should get an IWGP Title shot it should be him. AEW is all about Adam Cole, bay bay.

Earlier today, Thunder Rosa issued an open challenge for the Women’s title. Marina Shafir enters and asks if Rosa can solve her…

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, he introduces Wardlow. Wardlow shakes Tony’s hands, and says welcome to Wardlow’s World. He says he asked not to be in the Battle Royale. The reason being CM Punk is the champion, if he isn’t making Punk tap or pinning him, he doesn’t want the title yet. “Heal up Champ, because I’ll be waiting.” There is a title he does want though. A title he has thought about everyday, the TNT Title. Its time for a changer around here.

Scorpio Sky makes his way out, Dan Lambert and Ethan Page hold him back. Wardlow says he will wait until Sky is 100%.

Mark Sterling is backstage with a security team and says Wardlow ripped up official contracts last week. He says Wardlow can face him in a court of law or he can wrestle 20 security guards next week!

Commercial Break.

The young Bucks are backstage, they says they beat the AEW Tag Champions last week, they beat the Lucha Bros, the Bucks are back baby and they want their titles back. The Hardys enter, they say the Bucks have been winning matches but at Double or Nothing, they lost to the Hardys.

Christian Cage and Jurassic Express enter and Cage says neither of them deserve a title shot. Cage say the Buck won but the title were not on the line. He challenges both teams, next week, Hardys vs, the Bucks vs. Jurassic Express in a Ladder Match!

Marina Shafir makes her entrance to no reaction. Out next, the AEW Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Thunder Rosa vs. Marina Shafir

Lock up, Shafir with knees, strikes in the corner. Rosa gets a wristlock, Shafir gets a sleeper. Mat wrestling from both women, Rosa with chops in the corner. Shafir fights out with strikes, Rosa with knees, then a lariat. Rosa with more knees, an uppercut, Shafir with a snap suplex.

Rosa with a running clothesline in the corner, driving knees in the corner, then a running dropkick, then another dropkick. Rosa with a Northern Lights Suplex, cover, 2 count. Shafir sweeps the leg, forearms to the spine, into an Exploder Suplex, cover, 2 count. Rosa with body shots, into a Death Valley Driver, cover, 2 count.

Rosa with strikes, Shafir catches a kick, Rosa with a rollup, 2 count. Rosa rolls through once again, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: “And Still” AEW Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa!

Shafir attacks Rosa after the bell. Headbutts to the back of the head, a takedown, into a leg submission. Toni Storm runs down to save Rosa. Dropkick to Shafir, clubbing blows, German suplex. Rosa hits the Fire Thunder Driver to Shafir. Storm picks up the Women’s Championship… then hands it to Rosa.

Tony Schiavone is with Carghill and the Baddies. Jade says nobody can mind their business. Stokely says they had an issue with Athena, then Statlander poked her nose in their business. Who can beat Red Velvet? Nobody. Jade tells Tony to cut the shit.

reDRagon’s music hits to bring out Kyle O’Reilly who makes his way to the ring alone. Out next is Jon Moxley who enters through the crowd. William Regal joins commentary.

Moxley dodges a kick, O’Reilly dodges a submission. Lock up, take down, cover, 1 count. O’Reilly sweeps the leg, Moxley with a slap, lock up, Moxley with a hammerlock, Moxley wrenches on the arm, manipulating the fingers. Moxley with an arm submission, O’Reilly rolls him up, 1 count. Moxley with stomps, O’Reilly escapes the ring.

O’Reilly with combo strikes, elbows back and forth, Moxley with a headbutt, O’Reilly with kicks, Moxley with a lariat in the corner, O’Reilly takes out Moxley at the knees. O’Reilly with a Dragonscrew in the ropes, then hits the top rope knee drop.

Moxley rakes the back, then hits an Exploder from the top! Both men trade blows, Moxley with headbutts, O’Reilly with boots both men down. Moxley gets a sleeper, into a Chickenwing, O’Reilly gets to the ropes with his teeth, Moxley kicks the rope, King Kong Lariat, cover, 2 count.

Moxley with the Hammer and Anvil Elbows. O’Reilly with clubbing blows, Moxley with more elbows. O’Reilly blocks the Paradigm Shift, high knee strikes, running kick, both men down. Moxley hits a Cutter, then O’Reilly transitions into a Triangle Sleeper, then goes into a legbar.

Moxley with a right hand to escape. Moxley hits the Piledriver, cover, 2 count. Strikes back and forth, O’Reilly gets the upperhand with kicks, German, Moxley rolls through, German of his own, both men hit lariats and then fall into each other. Moxley gets the Bulldog Choke, transitions into knees to the head, then hits a Regal Knee! Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift, cover, 1, 2, 3!
