Cody Rhodes faced off against Seth Rollins in the main event of Hell In A Cell. Prior to the match, Rhodes realized how important it was and was not going to let anything get in his way. WWE has now been advised to document Cody Rhodes’ recovery journey as well after his nasty injury.
Despite suffering from a legit torn pectoral muscle, Rhodes carried on with the match and ended up defeating The Visionary in a well-received encounter. Many even gave Cody Rhodes a standing ovation backstage after the match.
While speaking on the Busted Open show, Bully Ray advised WWE to document Cody Rhodes’ recovery journey after his nasty pectoral tear.
“If the WWE was smart, they would document his journey back, they would keep his face out there, maybe once a month. They’re never going to do a weekly update, but maybe once a month, to show you the story of the comeback – him training, him crying, him not believing in himself, him struggling, him coming back. You can’t just let him go for 6 months, 8 months, a year and not remind the people of him. If I’m the WWE, I’m keeping his face and his story going throughout his entire time.”
Thanks to this injury, Rhodes is expected to miss half a year of in-ring action. We will have to wait and see whether WWE will have huge plans for Cody Rhodes once he’s back. Fans would love to see him win the WWE Championship in the end as well.
