AEW President Tony Khan might have a lot of passion for pro wrestling, but he also has a penchant for the bizarre. Khan is known to say some very bold things occasionally that leave many fans confused. He was also criticized for his booking skills as well.
Tony Khan was a fan of pro wrestling all his life, and he has been a booker for the past three years. His booking has been met with mixed reception, especially in recent memory, as he has made some questionable decisions.
While speaking during the most recent Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette gave massive props to MJF for putting over Wardlow the right way. He then proceeded to slam Tony Khan for being one of the worst amateur bookers ever.
”He put Wardlow over like a million dollars. And Wardlow’s not only more over than he was going into it, because he did what he said he would, but MJF is more over than ever – he’s hotter now than he’s ever been. He is a genius.
MJF is a once-in-a-generation performer. And Tony Khan is one of the worst amateur bookers I’ve ever seen, who has been blessed with this guy that’s able to get himself over no matter what.”
Tony Khan definitely has a lot of work to do in order to become a solid booker. With only 3 years under his belt, it is likely he will get better in due time. Till then, we’ll have to see what Khan will do next as a booker.
