AJ Lee’s influence in the world of professional wrestling can never be understated. She started in NXT during the early 2010s and eventually became one of the biggest stars in the WWE women’s division. She also revealed what Vince McMahon told her prior to her WWE exit.

AJ Lee’s success story in WWE is one worth mentioning. She has been credited for starting the WWE’s Women’s Revolution. She left pro wrestling back in 2015 but finally made her return earlier last year when she joined Women of Wrestling.

While speaking to Renee Paquette on The Sessions, AJ Lee talked about her WWE exit. She revealed that Vince McMahon told her that the door is always open for a return.

“He was very kind. He was just like, ‘the door’s always open if you want to come back.’ and that to me was I don’t know like I know it’s different for some people, but to me, it was so important to go out on top on my own terms.”

AJ Lee is also unlikely to make an in-ring return despite CM Punk’s success in AEW. We’ll have to see how AJ Lee will perform in her role as an executive producer and commentator for Women of Wrestling, once it starts.
