Carmelo Hayes Wins NXT North American Title At NXT In Your House

WWE’s developmental brand presented In Your House tonight, one of the rare pieces of NXT that they kept when ushering in the 2.0 era. The North American Championship was a highlight on the show as the third match, and it included a big conclusion. After all, Carmelo doesn’t miss.

Cameron Grimes walked into NXT at In Your House to defend the North American Championship against Carmelo Hayes. This match got the crowd to a fever pitch as well, but they were on fire all night.

Trick Williams tied Grimes’ arm to the ropes for a moment, but he was able to break free. This was enough of a distraction to help Carmelo Hayes take control. The two carried on and had a slobberknocker of a match.

In the end, Hayes maintained that control and was able to rally and pick up the title. This marks Carmelo Hayes’ second reign as NXT North American Champion.
