Fans Think MJF’s Pipe Bomb Promo Was Better Than CM Punk’s

On June 27, 2011, CM Punk cut one of the greatest promos in the history of professional wrestling, one which is still talked about to this day. It truly blurred the lines between a work and a shoot promo and laid the blueprint for such promos. Fans believe MJF’s latest promo surpassed CM Punk’s as well.

The promo featured CM Punk speaking on behalf of the disgruntled WWE fans who were simply frustrated with the product back then and Punk took shots at the company, The Rock, John Cena, Stephanie McMahon and others.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF cut his own pipe bomb as he went on a profanity-filled rant, blasting AEW President Tony Khan and demanding that he fire MJF from AEW.

Ringside News conducted a poll, where we asked fans whether they liked CM Punk or MJF’s promo more. 63% of fans voted for MJF’s promo to be far superior.

CM Punk also tried to confront MJF after his promo on AEW Dynamite this week. It remains to be seen whether AEW will book a feud between MJF and CM Punk again in the future. Perhaps we are due for a dueling pipe bombs segment.
