SAnitY was one of the most formidable groups in all of NXT, comprising of Killian Dain, Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Nikki Cross. They saw success in WWE”s developmental brand before being called up to the main roster a few years ago. WWE also changed plans for their main roster debut for an interesting reason.
The group made their debut during the June 19th, 2018 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. They attacked The Usos before a match between the two teams. Eventually, Jeff Hardy up with The Usos and defeated the group in their first main roster match.
While speaking on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Killian Dain, now known as Big Damo, revealed that SAnitY was supposed to debut on SmackDown on June 5th, 2018. However, that changed after the main event match between The New Day and The Miz vs Rusev & Samoa Joe lasted too long.
“The week before that, we were meant to debut at the very end of the main event. It had spilled into nonsense. It was The Miz and somebody against New Day and we were meant to appear on-screen, top of the ramp, to close out SmackDown, but they overran so it never happened.”
Triple H himself had a different vision for the group, but it was all for nothing. The group was rarely used and ultimately, everyone involved except Nikki Cross was released. Big Damo is happy working in viarous promotions right now and that’s what matters to him.
