Bray Wyatt was suddenly released by WWE back in July 2021. This was after he was absent from WWE television for several months prior to his release. Bray Wyatt also told a released WWE star never to talk to Vince McMahon.
Simon Gotch recently recalled how Bray Wyatt advised him not to have conversation with Vince McMahon. Gotch recently appeared for an interview on the Cafe de Rene podcast. He told former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree that Bray Wyatt knew McMahon would despise Gotch’s demeanor.
I got told early on by Bray Wyatt, who was always very kind, he said, ‘Don’t ever talk to Vince.’ An observation similar to what you made about me, Rene, he had said, ‘Vince will not like your personality,’ and it would not behoove me to go in and speak to him directly.
Gotch competed in WWE NXT between 2013 to 2016, before joining the main roster with his tag team partner Aiden English. Shortly after WrestleMania 33 in 2017, the former NXT Tag Team Champion was released by WWE. After a year on the main roster, Gotch felt dissatisfied with his booking.
Despite Bray Wyatt’s polite advice, the former Vaudevillain ultimately approached Vince McMahon to offer a plan. Gotch assumed the WWE Chairman was interested in a storyline he proposed at first. However, given the time of his release, the 39-year-old believes he should have paid more attention to Bray Wyatt’s advise. Check out the full interview below.
