AEW is pulling out all the stops for Double or Nothing and that includes holding meet & greets ahead of their big event on May 29th. The company held a fan fest on Saturday, but MJF was not in attendance for the event.

The Salt of the Earth no-showed Saturday’s fan fest, reigniting concerns that the AEW star is legitimately unhappy with Tony Khan over his contract. According to event security, MJF didn’t pick up his phone when the management tried to contact him.

PW Insider reported additional details regarding MJF’s contract frustrations with AEW. MJF is one of the biggest stars in AEW and his absence left many fans disappointed.

“The word making the rounds at the event is that he legitimately did not attend and that the promotion was not able to get in contact with him. For fans who had paid for MJF autographs and photos, AEW staff did their best to make good to them, including offering exchanges to other talents.”
