Madcap Moss was working in NXT for the majority of his career until he was called up to the main roster. He was known as Riddick Moss at first and became WWE 24/7 Champion prior to taking time off during the pandemic. He eventually returned with a new name and aligned himself with Happy Corbin. Moss might also be undergoing another name change after his turn on the former Lone Wolf.
Moss eventually had enough of Corbin and turned babyface, as he started feuding with Corbin Madcap Moss went on to defeat Happy Corbin at WrestleMania Backlash last Sunday. However, Happy Corbin then launched a vicious assault on Moss. It led to Moss being taken to a local medical facility. It was said that Madcap Moss suffered a cervical contusion.
During SmackDown, they showed a “Madcap Moss” graphic but Michael Cole and Pat McAfee simply called him Madcap. This made it evident that his name has been changed.
Madcap will be back on SmackDown next week as well, and he could be undergoing a gimmick change as well.
As Ringside News exclusively reported, Vince McMahon has not signed off on Madcap Moss’ character change. Moss will be returning on next week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. We’ll have to see how WWE will book him once he’s back.
