“Hangman” Adam Page’s early AEW career was geared toward him becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. It took him a few years to get there, but it was also Tony Khan’s long-term booking. Page is currently closing in on an impressive AEW milestone.

He had a storyline arc where he joined up with Kenny Omega. They became Tag Team Champions, but then he went on a losing skid before returning to the top. At the Full Gear event last year, Page defeated Omega to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Page is approaching a significant milestone, having been champion for 195 days. At this Sunday’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view event, Page will defend his World Title against CM Punk. Page will surpass 200 days as champion if he defeats Punk.

Page won a 21-man Casino Battle Royale in the first-ever Double or Nothing event in 2019. He however fell short of becoming the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion at All Out to Chris Jericho.

Adam Page is also tired of superhero movies. We will have to wait and see whether CM Punk will be able to defeat Adam Page at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 29th. It is likely Adam Page will stay the champion for a long time.
