AEW strives to be an alternative to the product that WWE has been doling out to fans for the past decade. AEW has now managed to make its mark in the pro wrestling landscape, as fans are simply glad AEW exists. However, not everything about AEW is seen in a positive light.
AEW is full of some of the most talented stars in the pro wrestling industry. This includes a lot of high flyers who throw caution to the wind and put their bodies on the line for the entertainment of fans.
There have also been a lot of injuries in AEW, which is more than usual in any given situation. Several botches have also been seen that were near-fatal, including Lance Archer’s botched moonsault and others.
Jim Cornette recently took to Twitter and commented on a tweet, which was a video compilation of many near-fatal botches in AEW. Cornette criticized AEW for the same.
I didn’t see this many near-death experiences in my first 25 years in wrestling.
Tony Khan also stated that he believes AEW’s hardcore fanbase gives them an advantage. The company has a lot of things planned for the next month as well. We can only hope AEW will help reduce the number of botches their performers do in the coming months.
