Road Dogg and Billy Gunn were one of the iconic tag teams of WWE’s attitude era. The New Age Outlaws were the company’s ultimate heaters, drawing huge crowd reactions with their pre-match fanfare. Dogg recently discussed his career as an agent.
Road Dogg recently made a surprise visit on “Stories of Brisco and Bradshaw” this week. He discussed his relationship with Vince McMahon. Dogg also revealed why it was so difficult to deal with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
JBL said that he lasted six weeks as an agent. One day he walked in and said, ‘I will not be doing this anymore.’ He loves Sami and respects his character. But JBL was his agent and everything was questioned. Road Dogg could relate to this story.
Kevin [Owens] is the same way. Every single thing needs to be talked out and talked about a lot, and I’m talking about from the reversal of an Irish Whip to, well now do you put your feet here? I would always just say, ‘You all put something together and come back to me’, because I wasn’t going to sit there and debate because that will do it. Sami Zayn will do it, but he’s the nicest guy in the world.
Dogg and JBL agreed to the fact it doesn’t matter if you love and respect a person, being an agent is different. Both of them couldn’t last long with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. JBL went to John Laurinaitis and said that he’s better off doing commentary only.
