Davey Boy Smith Jr, son of WWE Hall of Famer the British Bulldog, signed a new contract with WWE last year. He competed in just one dark match and was never heard from again. In spite of his short run, Smith Jr. is willing to return to WWE in the future.
It was said that Davey Boy Smith Jr. had disappeared from WWE. Fans were worried about his status in the company and rightfully so. This is because he was ultimately released by the company back in November last year.
While speaking on the Straight Talk Wrestling podcast, Davey Boy Smith Jr. talked about his brief stint with WWE last year. Davey Boy Smith Jr made it clear that he is willing to make a return to WWE in the future if there is a direction for him.
“If there’s an opportunity to go back to WWE, if there’s an actual direction for me, then I think that there’s still some — definitely some mileage and some great stuff that they can do with me there and I would like to just — sometimes, gotta be the right timing.”
Since his release from WWE, he has been working for the NWA. Smith is set to partner up with Doug Williams to challenge La Rebelión (Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf) for the NWA World Tag Team Titles at the June 11th NWA Alwayz Ready PPV event. We’ll have to see whether he will return to WWE in the future or not.
