Britt Baker has worked hard to become one of the top stars in AEW’s women’s division. It did not happen in a day, as fans simply found nothing good about her during the initial stages of her AEW career. She also explained why she doesn’t have an on-screen alliance with Adam Cole.
The Panama City Playboy and Britt Baker have been together for quite a while now. However, it was not smooth sailing at first. The two appeared on AEW television together earlier this year, but have not been involved in a storyline.
While speaking to Forbes, Britt Baker explained why she doesn’t have an on-screen alliance with Adam Cole. She said that it is because they are excelling in their own divisions.
”This is probably a little arrogant, but that’s OK because I believe in it. We don’t need each other. We’re at the top of our respective divisions on our own, and I think that’s what really makes a power couple a power couple. You don’t have to say you’re a power couple. You just are.
We don’t have to shove it down people’s throats. People know we’re a couple, but we don’t need each other in the ring and on camera to be relevant. I’m a rock star on my own. He’s [Adam Cole] a rock star on his own, and if we get to do stuff together, it just makes it that much better.”
Britt Baker defeated Toni Storm on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and advanced to the finals of the Owen Hart Tournament. On the other hand, Adam Cole will face Samoa Joe in the Men’s bracket of the same tournament. We wonder whether Adam Cole and Britt Baker will both win in their respective tournaments or not.
