The Usos are certainly one of the best tag teams in the history of WWE. Their accolades speak for themselves as they have taken part in numerous historic matches over the years. Them becoming the Unified Tag Team Champions was also a last minute decision.
As seen on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, The Usos and Team RK-Bro duked it out in order to determine the Unified Tag Team Champions. In the end, The Usos won the match thanks to some help from Roman Reigns.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about The Usos becoming the Unified Tag Team Champions. Meltzer revealed that it was a last minute decision by WWE.
It was a last minute decision. They had no planned finish. The plan was always the angle at the end, it was never Riddle and Orton winning. It was probably a DQ for Roman Reigns interfering. As for what they would do about the finish, they went back and forth on the finish and Vince made the call. Literally, there was no plan. The decision itself wasn’t made until Friday.
Roman Reigns has already reacted to The Usos incredible feat. The Usos are expected to be featured on both RAW and SmackDown now that they have both titles. We’ll have to see what the company has planned for The Usos next.
