Thunder Rosa is one of the best in-ring female pro wrestlers in the business right now and it is not hard to see why. Rosa worked very hard to establish herself in various promotions such as NWA before she made her way to AEW. Rosa also does not have any plans of wrestling after she turns 45.
Thunder Rosa took some time to find her footing in AEW, but fans continued to support her no matter what. Rosa climbed to the top of the mountain after beating Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship back in March of this year.
Thunder Rosa made her pro wrestling debut in 2014. She is now at the age of 35 and fans wonder how long she will continue to wrestle. While speaking with Forbes, Thunder Rosa revealed that she has no plans to wrestle after 45.
“I’m going to wrestle as long as possible, but I don’t think I want to be wrestling after I’m 45. I know some of my peers at that age and they’re still wrestling. I personally don’t want to because it’s very taxing on your body.
I can wrestle to the caliber, to the level that I’ve been wrestling at, for another three to four years… But I also have to scale back and take care of my body.”
Thunder Rosa’s AEW Women’s Title reign has not been up to the mark according to many fans. Rosa is set to defend her title against Serena Deeb at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 29th. We’ll have to see if Rosa will successfully retain her title or not. At least fans know they have another ten years of her in the ring.
