Kenny Omega is still recovering from several nagging injuries. The Cleaner needed to take some time away from the ring to deal with a hernia, knee surgery, and other various ailments. That doesn’t mean Kenny has been spending his time doing nothing.
Omega has been hard at work with the AEW Games team and Yukes to help develop the upcoming “AEW: Fight Forever” video game. While he has been unable to wrestle, Kenny has also been at the last several AEW TV tapings. He might not be performing, but his influence has been seen in several matches.
Mike Johnson of PW Insider has confirmed that Kenny Omega has been at the last few Dynamite and Rampage tapings. Kenny has been working behind the scenes. Omega has even produced some of the women’s division matches for the company.
“While there is no known timetable on his potential return to the ring, Kenny Omega has been back at AEW TV tapings the last several weeks working behind the scenes, including producing some of the women’s division matches, PWInsider.com has confirmed.”
It may not be the return that fans have been hoping for, but it is a great sign that Kenny Omega is back on the road. It does not look like he will be fit to wrestle at Double or Nothing. Kenny might still make his presence felt on the show.
It has been a long recovery for Kenny Omega. It is nothing short of a miracle that he was able to wrestle at all given his list of injuries. Hopefully, he is fully recovered soon and ready to get back into action.
