Big Teases For Former WWE NXT Superstars Debuting In AEW As Tonight’s Joker Entries

AEW is presenting a joker-themed show tonight. Both Owen Hart Tournament matches will see a debuting star, one man and one woman. We just might see Mr. and Mrs. Wrestling show up in Tony Khan’s company.

Ever since leaving NXT, fans have wondered when they will see the return of Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae in a wrestling ring. The dominant theory is that we could see them pop up in AEW. While there hasn’t been any clear evidence of that happening, a former tag partner/enemy of Gargano may’ve teased the possibility of that happening.

Tommaso Ciampa posted a photo of Instagram of himself with both Gargano and LeRae at Walt Disney World. The more interesting part of the post is the use of the word “jokers” when describing the recently married couple.

AEW will debut two joker entries during tonight’s AEW Dynamic against Samoa Joe and Britt Baker in their respective Owen Hart Foundation tournament quarterfinal matches. Khan recently clarified that the jokers entrants will be making their debuts, indicating that these are not talents currently on the roster.

LeRae’s WWE contract expired earlier this month. Her departure adds to the list of 20 names gone from WWE in this year alone and AEW is only adding to their ranks. With so much speculation, it possible that both Gargano and LeRae could make their debut tonight.
