William Regal Told Vince McMahon He Could Fire Him If Sasha Banks Didn’t Work Out In WWE

Sasha Banks is one of the best female pro wrestlers in WWE history for many fans. Her track record speaks for itself and she has been part of several iconic moments over the years. In fact, William Regal went to bat for Sasha Banks in a huge way.

Banks made a name for herself in NXT during her early years in WWE. Her feud with the likes of Bayley in NXT truly cemented her as one of the best in the business as well.

While speaking on ”The Sessions with Renée Paquette,” William Regal talked about his time in WWE. Lord Regal revealed that he put his job on the line for Sasha Banks.

“There’s only four people that I have ever gone to Mr. McMahon or to Triple H with whom I have said I put my reputation on.”

I put my job on the line once for Sasha Banks. She was somebody I went because I knew her, and my first thing on the job was to hire this lady. I said, ‘If it doesn’t work out, you can fire me.’ She’s not one of them. That was a separate thing.”

William Regal is happy working in AEW as part of the Blackpool Combat Club alongside Bryan Daniels, Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta. However, Sasha Banks isn’t exactly having the best of times in WWE right now. We’ll have to see what becomes of her in the coming weeks.
