Sasha Banks and Naomi did not agree with the direction of WWE’s storylines, so they walked out. They reportedly left their tag team titles with Johnny Ace before taking off as RAW was starting this week. New details are coming out about this situation, and it appears the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions wanted something different for the June 5th premium live event.

According to Fightful Select, Naomi was supposed to get a RAW Women’s Title match against Bianca Belair at Hell in a Cell. That is not the match they wanted at all. In fact, they were pulling for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title defense against Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H.

Sasha Banks and Naomi were angling to work with Nikki ASH and Doudrop at the PPV. The talent themselves hadn’t heard that Sasha and Naomi considered anyone “unsafe” until the statement was released.

Vince McMahon rejected the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match at Hell in a Cell. Then he turned down an idea that would have seen Nikki A.S.H and Doudrop interfere with the Naomi vs Bianca Belair contest on June 5th. Now Naomi is out of that match and Asuka is in, but Banks and Naomi’s biggest complaint was how WWE is treating their women’s tag team division.

We’re told that Sasha Banks and Naomi’s issues largely were concerns about the direction of their tag team and the division as a whole.

WWE released a pretty scathing public statement on the matter. It was said that Banks and Naomi were unprofessional, but that is one side of the story. Corey Graves also threw some shade at them during RAW. More information is very likely on the way as people continue talking about what went down backstage at RAW this week.
