Wardlow made his AEW debut back in 2019 and it is safe to say he has come far since then. Wardlow got over with fans organically and they are clearly behind him now. AEW has also been accused of copying Goldberg with Wardlow’s current storyline.

Wardlow’s run as a babyface has become one of the best things about AEW television in the past few months. This is because the storyline between Wardlow and MJF had been built slowly over the course of a year.

Many people also believe that Wardlow is following in the footsteps of Batista, someone whom Wardlow really admires. While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno accused AEW of copying Goldberg with Wardlow’s current storyline.

“They’re kind of copying Goldberg. It’s kind of obvious.”

Wardlow also admitted that his rise in AEW exceeded even his own expectations. Wardlow and MJF will duke it out at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 29th. We’ll have to see how their feud will be booked till then.
