Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. He was facing several charges of sexual assault but ultimately, they were dropped. Del Rio was also involved in a backstage incident at a Mexican wrestling show recently.

Despite his problematic actions, Del Rio managed to have a memorable career in WWE. He is a four-time world champion and two time WWE United States Champion and also a Royal Rumble winner.

However, wherever Del Rio goes, trouble is almost certain to follow. According to reports coming from Mexico, there was a backstage incident with Alberto Del Rio at the May 7th KAOZ show in Monterrey.

Del Rio was supposed to arrive at the arena by 3 pm but he was two hours late. Promoter Alonso Botello told security not to allow Alberto into the locker room as he did not arrive on time.

Alberto’s brother, El Hijo de Dos Caras screamed something about the promoter just doing this due to cameras being there and he simply wanted to be a protagonist and it was a lack of respect shown. El Hijo de Dos Caras also claimed that Alberto was not told to arrive by 3 pm.

Despite the ugly backstage incident, Alberto Del Rio ended up competing at the show. You can watch footage of the incident as well as Alberto forcing his way to the backstage area below.
