Drew McIntyre has certainly improved himself drastically after debuting in WWE back in 2007. A lot changed about the Scottish Warrior as he grew as a performer and person before returning to WWE as a top-tier talent. McIntyre has become a highlight of WWE television for good reason as well. He also pitched to face Triple H multiple times.

The Scottish Warrior has squared off against the best of the best that the pro wrestling world has to offer. This includes the likes of Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and many more.

While speaking with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, Drew McIntyre revealed that he pitched to face Triple H at WrestleMania multiple times. Sadly, those pitches were rejected every time.

“I pitched at every opportunity I could,” Drew McIntyre said. “How about us at WrestleMania? ‘What’s the story?’ [Triple H said] and I’d say ‘What’s the story? We’ll figure it out, but what about you and me at WrestleMania?!’ How awesome would that be? We got in the ring together a few times during my first run but when I returned, we did do a match in Japan that was really cool. We got in the ring together, we didn’t have anything in mind and we just went for it. It was cool to go back and forth a little bit and you understand just how good he is, what a ring general he is.”

Triple H retired this year so Drew McIntyre will never get what he wants now. Regardless, he has more pressing matters to attend to as he is currently feuding with Roman Reigns. We’ll have to see how their feud will develop in the coming weeks.
