Finn Balor is a former 2-time NXT Champion and fans were happy to see him succeed a lot in NXT. Balor competed against the top stars in the company, both in NXT and on the main roster. Despite becoming the first-ever Universal Champion, his star never shot that high in WWE again. Now his bad promos are blamed for his poor booking in WWE.

Balor previously beat Damian Priest for the WWE United States Title. After that, he defended it against Austin Theory. To the shock of fans, he ended up losing the title to Theory.

Fans are simply frustrated by Balor’s booking on the main roster again. While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Finn Balor’s status in WWE. He blamed Balor’s bad promo game for his current plight.

Finn Balor is a great worker and can perform at a very high level, but the one thing that business has always, I think, as far as guys getting over is believability. They made the fans feel a certain way, not by what we watched them do in the ring, just by watching them.

Finn Balor goes out there and does some of the most spectacular moves that you’ve ever seen. But when, just say for instance, when he cuts a promo, he may not make you feel like he really wants to go out there and hurt that guy.”

We will have to wait and see whether the company will end up giving Finn Balor a proper push in the future or not. Odds are, that’s unlikely to happen. Either way, he will remain a fan favorite for those who haven’t lost hope that his booking will turn around.
