Drew McIntyre is one of the highlights of the WWE main roster, after undergoing a huge change in character following his first WWE run. McIntyre cemented himself as one of the top guys in the company by working very hard. McIntyre also wants WWE to bring back the European Championship, a title that several fans miss.
There are quite a few titles that WWE has retired and fans have not seen for a very long time. This includes the European Title, which fans have not seen since it was unified with the WWE Intercontinental Championship by Rob Van Dam in 2002.
While speaking to Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Drew McIntyre made it clear that he wants WWE to bring back the European Title so that he can win it and then retire it.
“Yes! I just want it. Because when I was a kid and I saw it I was like ‘ah man, I want to be European champion’ and now I can’t because it doesn’t exist right now. I don’t like too many titles and there are a lot right now, but I just wanted it when I was a kid.
So just bring it back, let me win it and then I’ll retire it. You never want too many titles in the company because then it’s not as special. I think where we’re at right now is good, but give ol’ Drew the European title for young Drew.”
Drew McIntyre is currently engaged in a feud with Roman Reigns for his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. We will have to wait and see when the two will finally duke it out again. Fans simply can’t wait to see them have another singles match.
