WWE’s WrestleMania Backlash event included a few surprises, including adding Rhea Ripley to Edge’s new stable. Mick Foley has revealed he has high hopes for Edge’s brand-new faction, Judgement Day.
In the aftermath of Rhea Ripley joining the group at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday night, The Hardcore Legend took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the move. He revealed he loved the addition of the 25-year-old, and was excited about the group in general.
“This @RheaRipley_WWE and @EdgeRatedR thing is EXACTLY what this long time wrestling fan was hoping for.
“Along with @ArcherOfInfamy this could be a faction for the ages!”
Ripley joined the group after she helped Edge defeat AJ Styles in their grudge match at the premium live event. She had recently turned heel after attacking Liv Morgan, and many predicted she would soon be aligning with the Rated R Superstar.
The group is still in its infancy and was formed at WrestleMania 38 when Damian Priest helped Edge beat Styles at the Showcase of the Immortals. The addition of Ripley adds an interesting new wrinkle to the faction, and could be exactly what she needs to solidify her status as a main event level star.
