Fuego Del Sol Shows Off Huge Neck Wound After Surgical Procedure

Fuego Del Sol had surgery last month after contracting an infection in his mouth. The AEW underdog noted everything went well, but that he had to have a drainage tube inserted into the wound. Yesterday, Fuego had that tube removed, but not before he teased his gnarly wound on Twitter.

Referee Aubrey Edwards took the bait and asked Fuego to send pics. Fuego did just that, revealing a nasty hole in the side of his neck. Perhaps Aubrey should’ve thought twice before asking.

“Had a drainage tube taken out of my neck this morning and now I have a unstitched 1 inch hole in my neck… it’s wild!”

Several fans responded that Fuego Del Sol’s photo was going to give them nightmares. The disturbing image was quite graphic. Fans who are squeamish shouldn’t scroll any further.

Fuego Del Sol has proved a great enhancement talent for Tony Khan’s company. Not only is he a solid in-ring performer, but his size adds instant sympathy for those moments when he is fed to one of AEW’s monsters. The fact that he can laugh about a gigantic open wound in his neck further shows his toughness.

Hopefully, the wound heals quickly and Fuego can return to action soon. The photo he shared looks pretty nasty, but he is under a doctor’s care. Soon enough, that hole in his neck will be just a scar.
