Booker T is one of the most revered and accomplished wrestlers in the pro wrestling industry. His feuds with the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin are a stuff of legend.
The “five time, five time” WCW champion recently sat down with CultureMap Houston for an interview. Booker T revealed that he’s deal with WWE is not up for another several years.
“My relationship with the company has never been better. My contract with them isn’t up for another several years. I’m still around doing the kickoff shows for all the premium events on Peacock. I sometimes host RAW Talk and Talking Smack and WWE has me involved with several other projects.”
The WWE Hall of Famer was asked whether he plans to retire from wrestling. It is worth mentioning that Booker performs on and off for his Reality of Wrestling promotion. This is what he had to say about his future in wrestling.
“I’ll never be done wrestling. I’ll be doing this until I can’t move my legs anymore. Wrestlers never retire. If I get a chance to bounce around the ring like a kid one more time, I’ll take that opportunity every time. I won’t be retired from the squared circle until I’m six feet under.”
Booker T had one great career inside the squared circle and there’s no arguing that. Between working for WWE and appearing on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker trains future stars at his wrestling school.
