Tony Khan opened up the Forbidden Door between AEW and so many other companies. Now another man is about to walk through that door.
Jake Something made a name for himself in Impact Wrestling, where he largely teamed up with Cody Deaner. He also teamed up with the likes of Rhino and Tommy Dreamer, back when he was known as Cousin Jake. He is also scheduled for AEW Dark tapings.
As previously reported, Jake Something was done with Impact Wrestling after the Sacrifice pay-per-view earlier this year. It was also said that he departed from the company on amicable terms.
According to Fightful Select, Jake Something is scheduled for the latest set of AEW Dark tapings. He has also been active in the independent circuit following his Impact Wrestling departure.
Fightful has learned that as of mid-April, IMPACT Wrestling alumni Jake Something was planned to be at this weekend’s AEW Dark tapings. Jake had performed with IMPACT Wrestling for the last several years. His deal with IMPACT was actually up at the end of February, but he worked a March 5 date at Sacrifice to close out the deal.
We will have to wait and see whether Jake Something will end up becoming a permanent part of the AEW roster somewhere down the line or not.
