WWE released Dakota Kai from her NXT contract yesterday. She was just one of ten performers who were let go by the company on the same day. However, Kai has assured fans she will return to wrestling soon.
Since her release, many of Kai’s close friends, WWE colleagues, and fans sent her messages of support and appreciation. Kai took to Twitter today to thank everyone for all the support she received in the wake of her release.
“Above everything, thank you all. I am so overwhelmed at all the love and support. The DMs, txts, tweets.. you all have my heart. I love you,” wrote Kai
Kai was also grateful for her time in WWE, the connections, and bonds she made during her run. These are things that she holds very dear to her heart. She closed her tweet with heart emoji and promised fans that they will see her wrestle again.
“I am thankful for being able to meet, work and intertwine with so many beautiful people, people I looked up to, people I learned from.. I met some of my best friends over these last few years that will remain in my life forever.
I don’t know what’s next for me. I chose ‘Evie’ at 17 years old. That chapter is shut.. just know this; I’m far from being done. <3 [Heart emoji]
Dakota Kai, whose real name is Cheree Georgina Crowley, is a great wrestler. She will do fine just about anywhere. Kai might be unsure about what’s next for her, but she assured fans that she is far from done with wrestling.
