WWE released a number of stars from their contracts today. Those shown their way out of the door belonged to NXT 2.0 or were yet to make their in-ring debut on the show.
According to Fightful Select, those working behind the scenes had no clue about mass releases and had no choice but to drop entire storylines and angles without prior notice or preparation.
There was one NXT official that contacted us and expressed frustration that several angles, acts and stories were affected with little to no notice or preparation.
Malcolm Bivens, Dakota Kai, Raelyn Divine, Mila Malani, Sanjana George, Persia Pirotta, Harland, Dexter Lumis and Paige Prinzivalli were all released Friday, April 29th.
News of incoming WWE releases broke out earlier today. Fightful did not specify the number of talents that were to be gutted. It appears that more talents could be released soon.
