Bianca Belair had humble beginnings as part of the Mae Young Classic tournament, before debuting in NXT. Eventually, she became a top star in NXT and was then called up to the main roster, something that she was worried about at first.
Bianca Belair also won the RAW Women’s Championship after defeating Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38. It was certainly a road full of difficulties for Bianca Belair as well.
While speaking with WBIR, Bianca Belair The EST of WWE talked about her career in WWE. She also opened up about her struggles with self-doubt during her time in the company.
“It was really wrapping my mind around just starting from the bottom and working my way up. The training is very rigorous and the traveling is a grind, but I wouldn’t wish to be doing anything other than what I’m doing now.
It means everything to me. I feel like I’m kind of at the forefront of this new generation of women’s wrestling that’s coming through. I hold that responsibility greatly. It’s just a feeling of something I can’t describe, but I’m just taking it, I’m running with it and I’m going to carry this momentum and continue to build my legacy.”
Bianca Belair defended her RAW Women’s Championship against Sonya Deville on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Belair won the match after Deville disqualified herself by attacking Belair with a steel chair. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for their feud.
