Ever since Matt Riddle joined WWE, he has been one of the highlights of WWE television, whether it was in NXT or the main roster. His in-ring skills are one of the best in the company and he already has a good fan following. Despite that, he isn’t the easiest person to understand.

Riddle’s character has certainly gotten over with fans thanks to his comedic timing and generally chill attitude. Vince McMahon wasn’t immediately on board with his character either.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T admitted he had doubts about RK-Bro’s success but was proven wrong. He gave Matt Riddle huge props for succeeding by staying true to his character.

Maybe I didn’t give Riddle the credit perhaps he should have got because I was coming from the RVD era. Maybe I was comparing him to RVD – and you cannot do that. You’ve got to take what these guys do today and just look at what they bring to the table and judge them on that and that alone. He’s made me believer.

You may not like Matt Riddle but he has definitely stayed true to the game, stayed true to himself and what he believed in, and he has genuinely tried to perfect his game, I can only respect that.”

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle are also set to miss coming WWE television. We will have to wait and see what the company will have planned for the RAW Tag Team Champions in the coming weeks.
