Finn Balor’s Recent Title Loss Blamed On Backstage WWE Politics

Finn Balor is a former 2-time NXT Champion and for the most part, he had a solid run in NXT. Balor competed against the top stars in the company, both in NXT and on the main roster. His most recent loss was blamed on WWE politics.

Finn Balor previously beat Damian Priest for the WWE United States Title. After that, he defended it against Austin Theory last week. To the shock of fans, he ended up losing the title to Theory.

While speaking on Legion of RAW, Vince Russo discussed Finn Balor losing to Austin Theory. Russo believes that Balor losing was due to backstage politics in WWE.

Again, there’s politics behind that [Balor’s losses]. We don’t know what they are, we probably will never know. No doubt about it, that’s part of the influence, you know.

Can you imagine a manager, a baseball manager or a football coach, Ohio State football coach – you fumble, you make a mistake, you do something wrong, and you ride the bench the rest of the season. You struck out.’ You really cannot say the wrong thing in WWE, you can’t do the wrong thing, you can’t look at somebody funny, it’s literally like walking on eggshells.”

We will have to wait and see whether the company will have anything substantial planned for Finn Balor or not. Odds are, that might not happen.
