Randy Orton has accomplished a lot of things during his two-decade run with the WWE. He has won multiple titles and been part of many iconic moments in the company’s history. He also really misses John Cena.
Randy Orton has squared off against numerous opponents throughout his career. This includes John Cena, whom many consider being Orton’s greatest rival.
While speaking during a recent interview to celebrate his 20 years with WWE, Randy Orton talked about his TLC match with John Cena at Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2013. It saw Orton win both the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships.
Randy Orton stated that he loves John Cena and is his absolute favorite opponent. Orton admitted that he missed John Cena as well.
“I love John, he was my favorite opponent. Coming up, through my career, I learned a lot from him. I just remember it being like, every other match I had with John. Especially, big match John, whether it was Manias, SummerSlams, Royal Rumbles, you name it. He always had the crowd in the palm of him hand. It was a little because they loved him so much, or they hated him so much. He really knew how to get those emotions from them. So it was not just some coincidence. Dude’s a genius. I miss you, John. I miss you.”
Randy Orton also doesn’t have any interest in breaking John Cena’s record. Cena and Orton will always have a lot of love and mutual respect for each other and that’s what matters in the end.
