MJF is one of the biggest stars in AEW and there’s no arguing that. The Salt of the Earth is arguably the best talker in AEW not named CM Punk. For those not in the know, the two had a compelling feud that culminated at AEW Revolution.

MJF’s contract with AEW is set to expire in 2024 and the Pinnacle leader has made it crystal clear that he’s open to jump ship, provided WWE rolls out more money than Tony Khan could possibly match.

MJF recently appeared at a wrestling convention in Liverpool, England. He interacted with the crowd during a Q & A session. Here’s what he said when asked whether he sees himself in the WWE in future.

“It’s an interesting question. I don’t know if you guys are aware of this but on January 1st of 2024, I’m going to be a free agent. Who here would want to see me in WWE? So, let me explain something to you people.

“I did not get into this business to make any of you happy. I got into this business to make as much money as humanly possible, and if Vince Kennedy McMahon is willing to shell out more money than Tony Khan, then yes, I would go to WWE.”

MJF also talked about his plans to chase the AEW World Championship. Maxwell said after he’s done with Wardlow he’ll go after the title and have a “reign of terror that will make Triple H and Jeff Jarrett seem like they had short simple title reigns.”
