Terry Funk is a true legend in the pro wrestling industry, who has competed all over the world. Last year, fans and pro wrestlers alike were concerned for his wellbeing after Don Muraco revealed on his podcast that Funk is in an assisted living home suffering from dementia.

Mick Foley and Terry Funk have a very close friendship and fans are glad to see just how supportive Foley has been for Terry Funk. The two recently met up near Terry’s hometown of Amarillo, Texas.

While speaking during a High Spots signing session, the Hardcore Legend provided an update on Terry Funk. He stated that Terry Funk is doing better than reported.

“Terry [Funk] is doing better than it was reported. So, I will tell you he is in assisted living but I talked to him about a month ago, Tony Hunter talked to him a few days ago. He’s doing pretty good.

So, he [Funk] does need some assistance but that can be as simple as not remembering to turn a burner off. So, he’s doing good.”

It is certainly great to see that Terry Funk is doing better than expected. We are glad Terry Funk has a friend like Mick Foley to look out for him as well.
