Cody Rhodes made his much-anticipated return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and became the second-most popular babyface on the RAW roster in a matter of weeks. The American Nightmare is continuing to make good use of his promo and in-ring skills to hype up the WWE Universe.

Cody is one of the most eloquent talkers in the business. His post-Mania promo on RAW garnered much praise from fans and peers alike. But not everyone is 100% sold on Cody’s eloquence, especially now that he’s delivering promos in front of the WWE Universe – a sizeable portion of which includes children.

Bubba Ray Dudley of Team 3D thinks Cody should dumb it down for the WWE Universe. The 1/2 of the legendary tag team expressed his views on Cody’s use of verbiage during a recent episode of Busted Open Radio. Check out what Bubba said down below.

“When it comes to the younger fans – Cody has a very big vocabulary. Cody will use a lot of big words, a lot of words that we might even have to look up the dictionary just to get the definition.

“I think with the WWE Universe, Cody should dumb it down a little bit. Keep it very family-friendly, kid-friendly. In AEW, an older crowd, a smarter, more sophisticated crowd may be. Use words that the kids don’t have to ask their parents and go, ‘Hey, what does that mean?’”

Cody is set to collide with Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a rematch from their WrestleMania 38 encounter. The two superstars will square off with each other at the WrestleMania Backlash premium live event next month. Here’s the card announced so far for the May 8th show.
