AEW President Tony Khan is known for a lot of things, which includes his passion for pro wrestling. He might be very passionate in general, but not everything about him sits right with fans. He was also blasted recently for constant appearances on AEW television.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the AEW President revealed that the company is teaming up with NJPW to present a pay-per-view event called “Forbidden Door.”

Some fans were disappointed as the announcement didn’t turn out to be what they had hoped. While speaking on The Bro Show, Vince Russo said that Tony Khan is an egomaniac. He also blasted Khan for needing his ego stroked with repeated appearances on AEW television.

“I have been working in the business for a very long time. I have been around the biggest egomaniacs in the history of man. Seriously, I don’t think I have ever seen anyone in this business who needs their ego stroked more than Tony Khan. That’s what this is all about. Tony Khan wants to go out in front of his niche audience and be like, ‘Look, what I did for you guys! We’re gonna have a pay-per-view with NJPW, don’t you love me? Get up on your feet and cheer me!’ He should be focusing on growing the audience instead. NJPW is not going to create one new viewer for your show. This is all Tony getting his ego stroked.”

STARDOM will also not be part of the upcoming AEW NJPW crossover pay-per-view on June 26th. We will have to wait and see how the event will be received by fans.
