Tommaso Ciampa was certainly one of the most beloved Superstars in all of NXT. He had been involved in many memorable matches and feuds with the likes of Johnny Gargano and others in the brand. Ciampa also had no idea about his moment with Triple H.
During the NXT Stand & Deliver event, Tommaso Ciampa paid tribute to Triple H and Shawn Michaels prior to his match against Tony D’Angelo.
Ciampa would end up losing his last ever NXT match. Following the conclusion of the match, Triple H appeared and gave Ciampa a proper send-off.
While speaking to BT Sport on Twitter, Tommaso Ciampa revealed he had no idea about Triple H embracing him and giving him a proper send-off after his last match.
”When his music hit I thought ‘huh, what a weird advert to play’ I had no idea. He has been so instrumental in all of my success in NXT, in WWE. For him to give me that moment, it was cool, there’s no one that means more to him and my career than Triple H.”
Tommaso Ciampa is now part of Monday Night RAW while Triple H has retired from in-ring competition for good. Ciampa will always be grateful for what Triple H did and that is unlikely to ever change.
