Hit Row member Top Dolla made his way from the world of professional football to professional wrestling. He didn’t take long to get used to WWE’s way of doing things either. He also had talks with other pro wrestling companies.
Top Dolla was seen as the leader of Hit Row due to his impressive mic skills and well-received diss tracks. None of that mattered in the end as Hit Row was released by WWE back in November last year.
While speaking on “UnSKriped,” Top Dolla, who is now known as A.J. Francis, was asked if he had any interest in working for Impact Wrestling. Francis simply confirmed that he had talks with the company but nothing more.
“Nobody knows this, but we did WrestleCon at WrestleMania. Impact was at that hotel, and I’m just saying that there were very good conversations that were had.
There are still things that need to be looked at, worked out, and a lot of discussions that WWstill need to be had, but The Hit Makers were in the building.”
WWE also rejected a pitched name for Top Dolla due to it being similar to Big E. We will have to wait and see whether Top Dolla will end up in Impact Wrestling or not in the future.
