Oney Lorcan was one of the top stars in NXT for a long time. He was known for his in-ring prowess and vicious mean streak, as Lorcan would dismantle his opponents. He also had something interesting to say about his tag team with Danny Burch.

Oney Lorcan was released by WWE back in November of last year, as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. He also did not have a 90-day no-compete clause following his WWE release.

Oney Lorcan also won the NXT Tag Team Titles with Danny Burch as they found success. While speaking to MuscleMan Malcolm, Oney Lorcan talked about his tag team with Danny Burch. Lorcan stated that his tag team was just two bald guys thrown together.

“That was a time where, me and Danny, they put us together as a team and I thought we made it work. Me and Danny didn’t really know each other beforehand, we weren’t really best friends or anything, we were just two bald guys that they threw together. We had one match in Chicago at NXT TakeOver and we weren’t really being used on TV a lot, so when we came out, the fans didn’t really react, and I don’t blame them at all, we were just two bald guys coming out with mean, ugly faces. At the end of the match, the crowd gave us a standing ovation and we earned their respect.

That’s another moment that I will always remember fondly. Unfortunately, Danny had the injury with the shoulder, we got stripped of the titles, and now, we’re kind of going our separate ways as singles competitors. Danny is still kind of healing from us shoulder injury and I think, for now, we’re going to stick to doing singles. Never say never, we could reunite one day and bring the team back together. I wish Danny nothing but success in his singles run and hopefully we can bump into each other again one of these days.”

Now known as Biff Busick, he is having a good time as part of the independent scene again. We will have to wait and see whether Busick will return to WWE someday or not.
