Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi parted ways with AEW earlier this year. After that, fans simply wondered where the Rhodes would end up next. In Cody Rhodes’ case, he returned to WWE during WrestleMania 38. Rhodes also revealed if WWE had other plans for his return.

The American Nightmare had an extravagant entrance prior to his WrestleMania 38 match. He faced off against Seth Rollins in a terrific match that fans and peers alike loved.

While speaking to Ryan Satin on Out Of Character, Cody Rhodes was asked if there were any other plans for his WWE return besides WrestleMania 38. Rhodes revealed that WrestleMania 38 was the only plan.

“I mean, as far as my understanding the plan was always WrestleMania and nothing was ever considered. At one point, I saw people talking about Jacksonville, and that’s a no. Again, it’s not about leaving. It was about returning and the place to do it was at the Showcase of Immortals.

The biggest stage there is in what we do, undisputed is WrestleMania. There was a lot of synergy and love over the fact that it was Dallas, Texas. That is where I had my last WrestleMania with the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship.”

Dan Lambert also made Cody Rhodes leave AEW for WWE. Rhodes is set to face off against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania Backlash. We’ll have to see how their feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
