Austin Theory is one of the rising stars of WWE, who had a solid run as part of Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. Austin Theory saw more success once he made his way to the main roster, especially after working with Vince McMahon. He also teased a gimmick change recently.
As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Austin Theory challenged Finn Balor for the WWE United States Championship. Surprisingly enough, he defeated Balor for the title.
WWE changed up his name to Theory recently and there was a good reason for that. While speaking during a backstage interview after his huge win, Theory teased a gimmick change, as he called himself All Day Theory.
“You know what, I feel a lot better than you [interviewer Kevin Patrick] do. I mean, look at that stupid tie. And look at me, I’m the United States Champion. I can say it a million times: All Day Theory is the brand new United States Champion. But, you know, I’m not only proud of myself, I’m proud that Mr. McMahon is proud of me.
I did everything that he told me to do, every lesson, I studied, I worked hard, and look what happened. Look what happened. Do you know the legacy of this title? Do you know who is gonna make the legacy of this even better? All Day Theory.”
We will have to wait and see how Theory will be booked as the United States Champion. By the looks of it, Theory has a very bright future ahead of him now.
