Brody King made a name for himself in the world of professional wrestling working in the independent circuit for years. He eventually made his way to AEW, working alongside Malakai Black and then Buddy Matthews. CM Punk also inspired him in a huge way.

CM Punk himself is a pro wrestling veteran in the independent circuit. He also helped inspire many current pro wrestlers to truly love the profession as well.

While speaking on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Brody King talked about how he fell out of love with wrestling. King then revealed that watching CM Punk’s run as part of the Straight Edge Society brought him back to pro wrestling.

”I watched pretty frequently when I was 13 and thats when I fell off completely. It was kind of almost when I was in my mid 20s when Punk was doing the Straight Edge Society stuff that kinda like brought me back in.”
