Christian made returned during the Royal Rumble match last year after a seven-year-long hiatus from in-ring competition. However, he wasn’t seen on WWE television after that. Ultimately, Christian chose to go to AEW as he came to be known as Christian Cage.

Since then, Cage became one of the mainstays of AEW and also Impact Wrestling when the two companies still worked together. Christian Cage’s motto in AEW is a simple one as he is always determined to outwork everyone in the pro wrestling world and he succeeded in that.

While speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Christian Cage made it clear that he is aware his time as an active competitor is limited. Cage revealed that e is trying to enjoy the time he has left in AEW.

“I’m just trying to take everything in as much as I can now, knowing it’s not going to last forever. I know that. It was taken away once and at some point, it’s going to go again, so I’ve just got to enjoy the time I do have.

At this point, my only concern is putting on quality matches and enjoying myself, and giving back to the AEW fans that are so passionate and come out and support us every night.”

Christian Cage recently lost to Adam Cole after a solid match on AEW Dynamite. We’ll have to wait and see how long Cage will continue to work as an in-ring competitor.
