JBL Says Roman Reigns Is Not A ‘Pure Heel’

Roman Reigns is the Tribal Chief of WWE and has been an indomitable force since returning to the company during SummerSlam 2020. His reign of terror and complete dominance has made him one of the best Superstars in the history of the company. JBL also explained something interesting about his character.

Roman Reigns has been a heel since he came back, which is something fans had been demanding for a long time. His cool demeanor and no-nonsense attitude has made Reigns popular with fans as well.

While speaking on The Universal Wrestling Podcast, JBL talked about Roman Reigns’ current heel character. He explained why Reigns isn’t a typical pure heel but is more of an entertaining heel, like DX.

“Roman Reigns is not a pure heel… he’s an entertaining heel, he’s an attraction heel. D-X is not a pure heel because they were attraction heels. That being said, Roman has main-evented somebody told me six different WrestleManias, so I do not mean to say one type of heel is better than the other.”

Roman Reigns is also unlikely to lose his titles anytime soon. We’ll have to wait and see what is next in store for the Tribal Chief, as we near WrestleMania Backlash.
