Tonight’s live edition of AEW Rampage emanated from Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, and featured a title match between AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and Adam Cole in the main event. One spot that closed out the show did not land too well with Easy E.

The two Adams put their bodies on the line in a bloody Texas Death Match. The contest involved the use of chairs, tables, fighting in the crowd, and what not. The champion even brought out a barbed wire steel chair.
The match ended when Page delivered a Dead Eye to Cole on a table. The champion wrapped a barbed wire around Cole’s head before sending him head-first onto the table. This was an obvious nod to the crown of thorns that Jesus sported for his crucifixion, only they put a bit of a pro wrestling twist on things.
The spot got mixed reaction from the internet wrestling community. Even WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President Eric Bischoff got tense on Twitter over the fact that AEW did the spot on Good Friday.
